Scar Reduction Treatment

Advanced laser and regenerative protocols for smoother, healthier-looking skin.

Scars can be a lasting reminder of acne, surgery, injury or other trauma to the skin. Even when the original problem has disappeared, the scar itself can remain — affecting texture, colour, depth and the way light reflects across the skin. At Sol Clinic we take a personalised approach to scar reduction, combining advanced laser technology with regenerative skin treatments where appropriate. Our objective is not simply to make a scar less visible: it is to remodel the skin, stimulate collagen and improve the overall texture and quality of the treated area. Individual results vary.

Treatment focus

  • What causes a scar

Whenever the skin is injured, the body begins a natural wound-healing process, producing collagen and other structural proteins to repair the damaged tissue. Sometimes this results in an area of skin that is structurally different from the surrounding tissue: depressed or indented, raised, uneven in texture, thicker or firmer, darker or lighter than the surrounding skin, or more visible under certain lighting. The type of scar, its depth, age, location and your individual skin characteristics all influence which approach is most appropriate.

  • Different scars require different strategies

There is no single treatment that works for every scar. Atrophic acne scars can include different patterns such as rolling, boxcar and ice-pick scars, each involving different changes in the skin and underlying tissue. Surgical scars, traumatic scars and hypertrophic scars can also behave very differently. This is why scar treatment should begin with an assessment of the scar itself.

  • Fractional CO₂ laser

Fractional CO₂ laser is one of the established laser-based approaches used to improve the appearance of certain scars, particularly atrophic acne scars. The technology delivers controlled laser energy into microscopic treatment zones within the skin, creating a controlled healing response and stimulating the skin’s natural remodelling process. Clinical research has demonstrated meaningful improvement in the appearance of acne scars following fractional CO₂ laser treatment, although the degree of improvement varies between patients and scar types.

  • Why combine laser with regenerative treatments

In selected patients we may combine fractional laser treatment with regenerative approaches designed to support the skin’s healing and remodelling process — one example being exosome-based regenerative preparations, where clinically appropriate. The laser creates a controlled stimulus for tissue remodelling, while regenerative approaches may be incorporated to support the skin’s repair environment. Combination protocols are an evolving area of aesthetic medicine, and treatment selection should always be based on the individual patient’s skin, scar type and clinical circumstances.

  • Acne scar treatment

Acne scars are among the most common reasons patients seek advanced scar treatment. Once active acne has been controlled, the remaining scars may continue to affect the texture and appearance of the skin for years. Fractional CO₂ laser can be particularly useful for selected atrophic acne scars, but not every acne scar responds in the same way — some deeper scars may require a combination of techniques rather than laser alone, which is why our approach focuses on scar classification before treatment.

How your care works

  1. 01

    Assessment first

We evaluate the type, depth, texture, pigmentation and overall condition of the scar before creating a personalised treatment plan, considering scar type and depth, skin texture, pigmentation, skin type, the location and age of the scar, previous treatments, your skin’s ability to heal and your desired outcome.

  2. 02

    Your personalised protocol

Your treatment may involve fractional CO₂ laser to stimulate controlled skin resurfacing and collagen remodelling; regenerative skin treatments such as carefully selected exosome-based preparations, where appropriate; microneedling or other collagen-stimulating treatments; or combination therapy, where combining different techniques provides a more comprehensive approach than a single treatment alone.

  3. 03

    How many treatments

The number of sessions depends on the type and severity of the scar. Some patients may see meaningful improvement after one treatment; others may require a series performed at appropriate intervals to allow the skin to heal and remodel between sessions. We review your progress throughout the process and adjust the protocol when necessary.

Can scars be completely removed?

No treatment can guarantee the complete removal of a scar. However, significant improvement in texture, depth, colour and overall visibility may be possible depending on the type and characteristics of the scar. Our objective is to make the scar progressively less noticeable and help the treated area blend more naturally with the surrounding skin.

Why Sol Clinic

Scar treatment is not simply about using the strongest laser or the most advanced product. It is about understanding what created the scar and what is preventing the skin from looking uniform.

At Sol Clinic, scar reduction combines advanced technology, regenerative skin science and personalised treatment planning. Our goal is to improve the quality of the skin rather than simply disguise the scar.

Price

Treatment investment

The protocol — and therefore the cost — depends on the scar type, its extent and the number of sessions planned. This is discussed with you after your assessment.
