Facial Harmonisation

A personalised approach to balance, proportion and facial harmony.

Your face is not made up of isolated features. The eyes, nose, lips, cheeks, chin and jawline all interact with one another to create the overall appearance of the face. At Sol Clinic, Facial Harmonisation is a comprehensive approach that begins by looking at the face as a whole. Rather than treating a single feature in isolation, we analyse facial proportions, structure, symmetry, volume and the relationship between different areas to understand what may be creating imbalance — and what can be refined. Individual results vary.

Treatment focus

  • The three facial thirds

One of the fundamental concepts used in facial assessment is the division of the face into three vertical thirds: the upper third, from the hairline to the glabella; the middle third, from the glabella to the base of the nose; and the lower third, from the base of the nose to the chin. These proportions are not a rigid mathematical formula — every face is unique, and natural variation is part of what makes a face individual. The purpose of analysing the thirds is to understand how the different areas relate to one another.

  • When one area dominates the face

A stronger jawline or more projected chin may appear disproportionately dominant when the middle or upper face lacks equivalent structural balance. Rather than simply reducing the perceived prominence of the jaw, a carefully planned treatment may enhance another area — such as the mid-face or lips — to create greater visual balance. In other patients the opposite is true: a recessed chin or less defined jawline may make the lower face appear underdeveloped. The objective is not always to add volume; sometimes it is to redistribute visual emphasis.

  • Hyaluronic acid

Strategic placement of hyaluronic acid can be used to refine facial proportions, restore volume, enhance definition and improve the relationship between different facial structures. Areas may include the lips, chin, cheeks, mid-face and jawline, depending on individual needs.

  • Collagen stimulation

Collagen-stimulating treatments can be incorporated when the objective is to improve skin quality, firmness and structural support rather than simply adding volume.

  • Energy-based technologies

Laser, ultrasound and radiofrequency technologies may be incorporated to support skin tightening, collagen remodelling and tissue quality.

  • A combination approach

In many cases the most sophisticated treatment plan is not based on a single procedure. Different techniques can be strategically combined to address skin quality, volume, structure and definition at different levels. The treatment plan is always personalised.

Why patients choose this approach
  • 01

    Not one standardised face

One of the biggest misconceptions about facial harmonisation is that it creates a standardised aesthetic face. Our approach is the opposite: there is no single ideal face. Facial aesthetics are influenced by anatomy, age, sex, ethnicity, facial shape and individual characteristics, and the scientific literature recognises important differences in facial proportions between male and female faces. The goal is not to impose a template — it is to understand your face and what makes it unique.

  • 02

    Sometimes less is more

Facial Harmonisation does not mean treating every area of the face. One of the most important parts of the process is recognising what does not need to be treated. A patient may believe they need more volume in one area when the real issue is the relationship between two different structures. By analysing the entire face first, we can often achieve a more refined result with less intervention.

  • 03

    The art of facial balance

The most beautiful results are not necessarily the most obvious ones. Facial Harmonisation is about understanding how individual features interact and making carefully considered adjustments that allow the entire face to work together. It is not about changing your face — it is about bringing your features into greater harmony while preserving what makes you uniquely you.

How your care works

  1. 01

    Analysis before treatment

We assess facial proportions, the three facial thirds, symmetry and asymmetry, facial shape, mid-face structure, chin projection, jawline definition, lip proportions, skin quality, volume distribution, and your individual concerns and aesthetic goals.

  2. 02

A plan based on what your face needs

We then create a treatment plan based on what your face actually needs. Sometimes that means treating one area. Sometimes it means combining several techniques. And sometimes the best decision is not to treat a particular area at all.

Can Facial Harmonisation avoid surgery?

For many patients, strategic non-surgical treatments can significantly improve facial proportions and definition, using injectable treatments and energy-based technologies. However, not every anatomical concern can or should be treated non-surgically. In cases of significant skeletal retrusion, severe asymmetry or major structural discrepancy, surgical intervention may be more appropriate. A medical assessment is therefore essential to determine what can realistically be achieved with non-surgical techniques.

Why Sol Clinic

Women may seek Facial Harmonisation to soften a strong lower third, restore mid-face support, refine lip proportions, improve chin balance or enhance facial definition. A small adjustment in one area can change the way another area is perceived — the result is not necessarily more volume, but better proportion and visual harmony.

Men often have different aesthetic goals. For men who feel their chin or jawline lacks definition, a personalised plan may focus on greater structural definition and a sharper, more balanced appearance. The objective is not to feminise the face or create exaggerated angles, but to enhance the natural masculine architecture of the individual face.

Price

Treatment investment

Facial Harmonisation is not a single procedure, so cost depends on the techniques included in your personalised plan. This is discussed with you following your assessment.
